How to Delegate access & How to Switch User.
Users can authorize their teammates to let them manage their accounts on their behalf. This functionality ensures that any person who is going for a leave can hand over/delegate their work items (OKRs, tasks, projects, etc.) to their substitutes for a specific period.
Let’s see how the grantor can give access to his account to others and how the grantee can switch to the grantor’s account in Witsmate.
Steps to grant delegated access to others –
1. When you have logged-in into Witsmate, open the Profile Settings by clicking on the profile icon present at the bottom of the left sidebar.
2. In Profile Settings, navigate to the Delegate access tab.
3. In this tab you can select the time period for which you want to give access and the users to whom you want to give access.
a. Select the Start date and End date for the time period.
b. Under “Delegate access to” search for the user whom you want to give access.
c. Click on Grant access to confirm/save the delegation.
d. Once saved, the name of the user with granted access will be displayed in the text names “Users with access”.
Steps to access the delegated account of the grantor –
1. When you have logged-in into Witsmate, open the Profile Settings by clicking on the profile icon present at the bottom of the left sidebar and select “Switch User”.
2. A popup window will open in which you can select among the users which have given you the access.
3. When you select the user, your dashboard will transform to reflect the dashboard of the grantor. Here you can access all his OKRs, tasks, projects, etc.
